FTSE-100 Index Daily Closing Price 2007 to 2019
The FTSE-100 tracks the share prices of the 100 largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Despite turbulence following the EU Referendum result, the index closed at twelve successive record highs between December 2016 and January 2017 – the index’s longest run of successive all-time peaks since its inception in 1984.
The index passed 7,800 for the first time in May 2018, reaching another record high on 22 May 2018. On 3 January 2019, the index closed at its lowest level in over two years.
