UK Employment Rate Men & Women Seasonally Adjusted 2007 to 2019

15.31 million women were in work, an increase of 78,000 from the previous quarter and 188,000 more than a year ago. The female employment rate was 71.4%.

Increases in the rate over recent years are partly due to changes to the State Pension age for women.

17.29 million men were in work, 89,000 more than the previous quarter and 255,000 more than a year ago. The male employment rate was 80.3%.
